Daffodil

The flower I'm writing about is called a Daffodil.  The Daffodil flower is a sure sign of Spring.  This beautiful collar and cupped shaped flower would be a beautiful addition to a garden, a nice decoration in a house, or any were else of coarse.

Daffodils come in many different colors.  Some of the colors they come in are: yellow,  white, and pale salmon, these are the colors they come in, in the Spring.  These flowers look the best sprouting under trees.  Daffodils grow best in well-drained soils, also in compost and peat moss.  The flowers must be planted in some shade to grow.

The Daffodil plant grows 4-24in.long &the width is 4-12in.  You should plant your Daffodil bulbs three times deeper than their height, you should also plant your bulbs under the canopy of a deciduous tree.  Plant your flower bulbs in early autumn so they have time to grow roots, while the ground is warm.  You have to plant your flowers before the ground freezes, mulch your soil to keep your flowers warm later in fall.

The Daffodil flower would look great in a home. If I was to put them in my home I would put white flowers in some of the bedrooms, and maybe some pale salmon flowers in some rooms.  There are probably a lot more places you could put your flower, say in a flower pot on your front steps or your deck.  Or even just in a hanging basket in your front or back  yard, any were will do.

The reason I chose to write about the flower Daffodil, is because it's one of my favorite flowers, and because it's so beautiful.  I always learn lots from flowers and the Daffodil is defiantly one of them.  I hope you enjoy this flower as much as I do.
