Gerbera Daisies

Gerbera Daises are such beautiful flowers and one of my favorites to.  One of the things that makes it beautiful is its colors.  Gerbera Daisies grow in many different colors like:  White, Pink, Red, Orange, and Yellow, perfect colors for Spring and Summer.  Sometimes these flowers can have petals that has many different colors on them.  These pretty petals can attract things like: bees, birds, and butterflies.     Did you know that there are over 80 different species of Gerbera Daises.

They are native to Transvaal, South Africa, and are in the Asteraceae family.  When planting these flowers be sure to put them in a lot of sun, because they are native to Africa they must grow in full sun.  Make sure that you plant them 12 inches apart so that they have room to grow, and water them regularly.  Don't over water your flowers because over watering your flowers will lead to bugs and diseases invading your garden.
If you are going to plant your Gerbera Daisies just remember place in sunny spot, plant 12 inches apart, and don't over water. So if properly cared for you should have blooms in 4-6 weeks.

Gerbera Daisies are perfect for any flower bouquet or a flower arrangement.  In fact Gerbera Daises are the fifth most popular flowers used in arrangements or bouquets.
I hope you enjoy your flowers, and happy planting.
