Russian Hollyhock

Wednesday March 23, 2011

Many People believe that if you want height in your garden, then these, (Russian Hollyhocks) are the plants you want to go with. It's true! These are the best choice for height in any garden, considering the fact that they can grow somewhere between five to nine feet tall, and from one to two feet wide. Well, I guess it only matters on how well you care for your Russian Hollyhocks. Whether you water them lots like twice a day, or not as much like once a day, maybe you only water them twice every three days. Whatever it is, at least your remembering to do this, and keeping your flowers Happy, Healthy, and Beautiful! So great job!
Russian Hollyhocks bloom in the midsummer in many different colors, like red, and yellow, and white, etc. They also have something that that others, (other plants) don't. Because they are resistent to rust, they do not need to be sprayed by something called “FUNGICIDES”. They are very  strong that way, and special, and beautiful.
Another thing about the Hollyhock's height is that, even though their so tall, they don't need any stakes, or bars, to help stand themselves up. When the blooms are done for the summer and have been cut, which they should be, cut I mean, they have been given a better chance of surviving the winter, and are left seeds for next years growing season.
Also did you know that the Russian Hollyhock is BIENNIAL, which means that they only live for two years?
HAPPY PLANTING!
